The fact that your family accepts your non-monogamy is great. My parents have had to come to grips with the fact that one of my best life skills is picking up women. But still, the atheist part would be too much.
My last gf died a few years ago, and since then, my mother has been HOUNDING me about religion. Stuff like, "Do you no longer believe in the God of the Bible?" I just change the subject. I'm sure she thinks I am turning my back on god because of my dead gf, but in reality, I let go of god a long time ago. I guess the fact that my gf was an atheist and her funeral was godless really freaked her out.
